Pick AI Ark if you already run your own sending stack and want a verified, ready-to-upload file at a lower cost per valid contact. Pick Snov.io if you want finding, verification, warm-up and email plus LinkedIn sequences in one subscription. As a Snov.io alternative, AI Ark is the data layer that feeds the tools you already run.
Key takeaways
Different jobs. Snov.io is a sales suite where the database feeds its own campaigns, warm-up and CRM. AI Ark is a prospect and company database that hands you a verified file for the tools you already use.
Verification at export. AI Ark checks every email with BounceBan at the moment you export and delivers only addresses that pass, with a bounce rate under 1.5% expected. Snov.io's finder charges 1 credit for "unknown" (yellow) results as well as valid ones.
Where sending happens. Snov.io includes email sequences, warm-up, LinkedIn automation and a CRM for teams without a sending stack. AI Ark stops at the file and pairs with Smartlead, Instantly or Email Bison, so you keep the sequencer you already trust.
Cost per valid lead. For 6,000 valid contacts a month on annual billing, Snov.io works out to about $23.63 per 1,000, a price that also covers its outreach tools, and AI Ark to about $10.53 per 1,000.
Account discovery. AI Ark adds Company Lookalike, headcount growth, employees by department and separate company HQ and person location filters to the usual title, industry and size filters.
Free to test. AI Ark's free tier gives 100 credits a month with no card, so you can export a sample from your own ICP and check it in your sending tool.

What is AI Ark?
AI Ark is a B2B prospect and company discovery database for outbound teams, agencies and RevOps. It covers 400M+ people and 70M+ companies worldwide, refreshes the entire database every 30 days, and holds verified mobile numbers for 100M+ profiles.
It assumes you already own your outreach stack, and its job is to hand you a file you can upload without a second verification pass. Every email is checked with BounceBan at export, and the CSV contains only addresses that passed. If you work inside an AI assistant, our MCP server brings the same search into Claude, Cursor and Windsurf.
The search is built around accounts first. Company Lookalike takes up to five customer URLs and finds companies that do the same thing. Filters cover headcount growth over 6, 12 or 24 months, employees by department, time in role vs time at company, and company HQ separate from person location. Net New vs Saved Records hides anyone you have already exported, so you never pay twice for the same contact on the web app.
What is Snov.io?
Snov.io is an all-in-one sales platform built for businesses and agencies of all sizes, and it reports more than 175,000 businesses using it. Its Sales Suite combines a B2B lead database, an email finder (by name, by domain, and through Chrome extensions for LinkedIn and company websites), a 7-tier email verifier, email warm-up, multichannel email and LinkedIn campaigns, a built-in CRM, and integrations with HubSpot, Pipedrive, Clay, Zapier and Make. Its LinkedIn Automation add-on runs each connected account through a dedicated location-based proxy and is priced per account slot. Phone numbers and deeper profile data come from a separate enrichment product paid in tokens.
On data, Snov.io describes its database as regularly updated and its prospect and company data as reverified monthly. Verification runs through seven checks: syntax, gibberish, domain, MX record, SMTP, mailbox existence and catch-all. Emails come back as valid (green), unknown (yellow) or invalid (red). The pages we reviewed do not describe where the underlying records are sourced.
Snov.io publishes full pricing, including annual discounts and per-credit costs, and every plan includes unlimited team seats. It suits teams that want one subscription to cover finding, sending and tracking leads.
Data quality: where validation happens
How AI Ark does it
AI Ark validates at the moment you export, not when the record was added. Every email goes through BounceBan in real time, including SMTP checks and individual checks on catch-all domains. Invalid, unknown and risky addresses are removed before the file is built, so what you download is what you can send.
Catch-all domains get their own treatment. Where the server accepts every address, we validate the specific mailbox and deliver it only when it is confirmed, labeled Catch-All Valid. The expected bounce rate on that output is under 1.5%.
Because the check happens live, we can't tell you in advance who has a valid email. On average we find and verify an email for about 70% of exported contacts. The other 30% still arrive with their profile data (name, title, company, LinkedIn URL) at 0.5 credits each, and no email credit is charged for them. If you want to see how that rate holds up on your own ICP, the free tier is enough to run a sample export: send it from the same tool you use today with no verifier in between and compare bounces at day seven.
How Snov.io does it
Snov.io verifies inside the product. Its finder returns addresses with a status: green for valid, yellow for unknown, red for invalid. Saving a database prospect with a green or yellow email costs 1 credit, and running an address through the verifier costs 1 credit for each green or red result. Catch-all is the seventh check in its verifier, and its own guidance is to treat catch-all addresses with caution, find a more specific contact where possible, or send to them as a separate segment.
Snov.io's headline figure is 98%+ verification accuracy. On the same page, the bounce rate is given as under 1% in one section and as low as 1.72% on verified lists in another. These are vendor claims and the page does not describe the test behind them.
Snov.io rates 4.5 out of 5 on Capterra across 215 reviews and 4.5 on G2 across about 500 reviews. Reviews that mention data are mixed: one from November 2024 reported valid emails marked as invalid, one from March 2023 double-checks results with another tool, and one from March 2025 asked for a larger database. A May 2026 review on Enrich cites a third-party test with a verified find rate in the low 20% range on one test segment; Enrich sells a competing product and notes the result depends on the segment tested.
The trade-off, stated fairly
Snov.io gives you status labels and lets you decide what to send. That works if you are comfortable segmenting yellow and catch-all addresses, and its campaigns pause automatically when bounces climb.
AI Ark makes that decision before the file reaches you. You give up the yellow addresses, and in return the export is clean enough to upload straight into your sequencer. For a team sending at volume from domains they care about, removing the review step is the point.
True cost: what a valid lead actually costs
List price tells you what a plan costs, not what a usable contact costs. The comparison that matters is total annual spend divided by valid contacts delivered, on the cheapest plan that covers your volume, using each vendor's own accuracy figure.

AI Ark plans:
Plan | Credits per month | Monthly billing | Annual billing (credits per year) | Seats included |
Free | 100 | $0 | $0 | 1 |
Starter | 5,000 to 30,000 | $49 to $119 | $470 for 60,000 to $1,142 for 360,000 | Up to 3 |
Builder | 60,000 to 300,000 | $219 to $879 | $2,102 for 720,000 to $8,438 for 3,600,000 | Up to 5 |
Scale (Agency & Enterprise) | 450,000 to 5,000,000 | $1,249 to $9,999 | $11,990 for 5,400,000 to $95,990 for 60,000,000 | 10 |
AI Ark charges 0.5 credits per person profile, 0.5 credits per valid email (only when one is found), 5 credits per mobile number and 0.1 credits per company record. Snov.io charges 1 credit per saved prospect or found email with a valid or unknown status, 1 credit per verified address, and sells phone numbers through enrichment tokens at $0.02 per token, valid for 90 days.
Worked scenario: 6,000 valid contacts a month
Take a team that needs 6,000 valid contacts a month, or 72,000 a year.
On Snov.io, applying its own 98% accuracy figure, 6,000 valid contacts need about 6,123 credits a month. Pro S stops at 5,000, so the next plan is Pro M at 20,000 credits: $1,701 a year on annual billing or $2,268 on monthly. That is about $23.63 per 1,000 valid contacts on annual billing and $31.50 on monthly.
On AI Ark, at the 70% find rate, each valid contact costs about 1.21 credits once you include the profiles that come back without an email, so 6,000 valid contacts need about 7,286 credits a month, or 87,429 a year. The $758 annual plan (180,000 credits) covers it, which is about $10.53 per 1,000. On monthly billing, the $79 plan (15,000 credits) covers it at $948 a year, about $13.17 per 1,000.
The gap comes from plan ceilings. Snov.io's ladder jumps from 5,000 to 20,000 credits, so a team slightly above Pro S pays for four times the credits; AI Ark's monthly plans step from 5,000 to 15,000 to 30,000 credits, so the next plan sits much closer to your volume.
A narrower case, fair at both ends
At 4,000 valid contacts a month (48,000 a year), Snov.io's Pro S covers the volume: $891 a year on annual billing, about $18.56 per 1,000, or $1,188 on monthly, about $24.75 per 1,000. AI Ark needs about 4,857 credits a month: the $470 annual plan covers it at about $9.79 per 1,000, or the $49 monthly plan at $588 a year, about $12.25 per 1,000.
The counterpoint, stated honestly
Snov.io's price is not only data. Pro M includes 50,000 campaign recipients a month, unlimited warm-up slots, a CRM and unlimited seats. If you would otherwise buy a sequencer and a warm-up tool, part of that $1,701 is replacing them, and the per-contact gap narrows or disappears.
These figures also give Snov.io the benefit of the doubt: they apply its 98% figure to every charged credit, although yellow (unknown) results are charged at the same rate as green ones.
The line item that rarely shows up in a plan comparison is the second verification pass. When a file includes unknown or catch-all addresses, many teams run it through a separate verifier before sending, which costs money per address and adds a day to every list. AI Ark's credits already include that step, so the price on the pricing page is the price of a sendable contact.

Compliance and data sourcing
We operate as a B2B data search engine, processing business contact data under legitimate interests, GDPR Article 6(1)(f), for B2B purposes only. Our data is aggregated from public sources, community contributions and partner networks, then cleaned with validation algorithms.
Anyone can ask to be removed through our opt-out page. Our terms prohibit automated extraction and scraping, and data you upload for enrichment or exclusion lists stays in your workspace; we don't fold it back into the database.
Snov.io's security center states that it adheres to GDPR and complies with the CCPA, describes itself as LOA certified, and says it runs regular internal and external audits. The page does not name a SOC 2 report or ISO 27001 certification.
Choose Snov.io if
You don't have a sending tool yet and want email sequences, warm-up and a CRM in the same subscription as your data, which AI Ark does not include.
You run LinkedIn outreach alongside email and want both channels managed in one inbox.
You find contacts one at a time from LinkedIn profiles or company websites and want a Chrome extension for it, which AI Ark does not offer.
You need to verify an existing list you already own as a standalone job.
You want two-way HubSpot or Pipedrive sync without building it through an automation tool.
You need unlimited seats on a small plan, for example a large team of occasional users.
Choose AI Ark if
You already run Smartlead, Instantly, Email Bison or a similar tool and want a file you can upload with no second verification pass.
You send at volume and want catch-all addresses validated individually rather than labeled and left for you to judge.
You build account lists first and need Company Lookalike, headcount growth and department filters to find them.
You want to pay only for valid emails, with a cost per valid contact around $10.53 per 1,000 at 6,000 a month on annual billing.
You need mobile numbers in the same export, from 100M+ verified profiles.
You build workflows in Clay, n8n or an AI assistant and want an API at 300 requests per minute and an MCP server.
Most teams that compare the two already know where their emails are sent from. If that answer is a sequencer you trust, AI Ark gives it cleaner input at a lower cost per contact.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is AI Ark a good Snov.io alternative?
Yes, if your team already has a sending tool. AI Ark is a data-only database of 400M+ people and 70M+ companies that verifies every email with BounceBan at export, so you can upload the file straight to your sequencer. Snov.io bundles a lead database with campaigns, warm-up and a CRM. Teams that own their outreach stack usually want the cleaner file and the lower cost per valid contact.
2. How much does Snov.io cost in 2026?
Snov.io's Sales Suite runs from Starter at $39 a month (1,000 credits) to Ultra at $738 a month (100,000 credits), with 25% off on annual billing and a free Trial of 50 credits a month. AI Ark starts at $49 a month for 5,000 credits, or $470 a year for 60,000, and at 6,000 valid contacts a month works out to about $10.53 per 1,000 against Snov.io's $23.63.
3. Does AI Ark charge for invalid or unknown emails?
No. AI Ark charges 0.5 credits for a valid email only when BounceBan confirms it, and unknown or risky addresses are never delivered. Contacts without a valid email cost 0.5 credits for the profile. Snov.io does not charge for invalid or not-found emails in its finder, but charges 1 credit for unknown (yellow) results. With AI Ark, every email credit you spend is a sendable address.
4. How accurate is Snov.io's email data?
Snov.io claims 98%+ verification accuracy, and its verifier page gives the bounce rate as under 1% in one section and as low as 1.72% in another, without describing the test. Its finder returns valid, unknown and invalid results, and unknown (yellow) emails still cost a credit. AI Ark delivers only addresses BounceBan confirms at export, catch-alls included, with expected bounces under 1.5%.
5. How does AI Ark handle catch-all emails compared with Snov.io?
AI Ark validates each catch-all mailbox individually with BounceBan and delivers it only when confirmed, labeled Catch-All Valid. Unconfirmed catch-alls are removed before export. Snov.io flags catch-all as a separate verification result and advises segmenting those addresses and monitoring bounces. With AI Ark, catch-alls in your file have already passed the same check as every other address, which keeps expected bounces under 1.5%.
6. Is Snov.io worth it?
Snov.io is worth it when you want one subscription covering a lead database, verifier, warm-up, campaigns and a CRM with unlimited seats. If you already own a sending stack and only need the data feeding it, AI Ark delivers verified contacts at about $10.53 per 1,000 at 6,000 a month, against about $23.63 on Snov.io.
7. Do AI Ark and Snov.io work with Claude through MCP?
Yes, both offer an MCP server. AI Ark's MCP server works in Claude, Cursor and Windsurf, so you can run people and company searches, lookalikes and email finding from inside your assistant. Snov.io's MCP access connects Claude and ChatGPT to your Snov.io account. AI Ark's API runs at 300 requests per minute with the same credit prices as the web app.
8. Can I try both before deciding?
Yes. Snov.io offers a renewable Trial with 50 credits a month, and AI Ark has a free tier of 100 credits a month with no card, enough for about 80 verified contacts. Run the same ICP search in both, send what each returns from the same tool with no verifier in between, and compare bounces at day seven before committing to a paid plan.
